On the quays threads
On The Quays is a small production company, and similar to many small arts business’, the COVID-19 pandemic hit us hard. Over the past few years, we have had to think long and hard about how to continue our company and make it sustainable.
For many years we have created fun merchandise to promote our artistic projects, particularly our annual Pride Concerts and Events. When we had our first company meeting in January of this year, and were in the process of exchanging ideas on how we could financially keep our business open, we had the idea to open an Etsy Store called On The Quays Threads.
Since that meeting, we have been working hard to create a store that lives at the intersection of art and commerce, and reflects our values as a company. Our intention is to create clothing that will empower and inspire.
Every single purchase made on our Etsy store helps us to continue creating art, and fulfill our mission of telling relevant and engaging stories that promote Equality, Empathy, and Understanding.
